Andrew Hokenson arrived at Pier Capital in 2006 as a Warren Buffett devotee fresh from his MBA at Rutgers.
He viewed his first five years as a residency, during which he came to the office daily with the goal of picking the brains of senior analysts. So eager for their insights, he'd occasionally pitch purposely flawed investment ideas just to spark debate and watch them tear his thesis apart.
Twenty years later with Pier, he still describes his work as a passion for discovery. He loves to find life-changing products and understand exactly what makes them special.
